The CTMP provides tailor-made training to companies in the mineral and plastics sectors. In addition, one-off events are organized to allow companies to familiarize themselves with innovative technologies.

The CTMP is affiliated with the Cégep de Thetford, where a technical program for plastics processing (Techniques de la plasturgie) to train specialized technicians is offered. Starting in the fall of 2016, the provincial government approved the implementation of a pilot project for work-based learning. With this new program, students spend 50% of their training on-site, in organizations. The future technicians contribute to product design, optimization and production problem solving as well as research and development (R&D). For the students, the CTMP is a host company providing learning opportunities in material characterization and quality control.

The CTMP also participates in the training of qualified personnel, in particular through on-site personalized or specialized training. With the support of the Cégep de Thetford’s Continuing Education program as well as the other programs of study offered (pre-university, technical programs, ACS), the CTMP contributes to supporting organizations in the transfer of knowledge as well as current innovative technologies.

For questions regarding training, please feel free to contact us. Our staff will connect you with the appropriate resource to meet your specific needs.
